PRS SE Hollowbody II LTD CB

PRS SE Hollowbody II LTD CB review

The PRS SE Hollowbody II LTD CB is a fully hollow electric guitar, not a semi-hollow model. Its listed price is 1,222, and the model has been available since August 2026. This is an exclusive European limited edition, restricted to 40 pieces per color. The finish specified here is Charcoal Burst. There are no customer reviews available, so this assessment is based on the supplied specifications rather than reported playing experience.

The construction combines a laminated flamed maple top with a maple back and mahogany sides. The neck is mahogany, and the fingerboard is ebony. That material combination defines the guitar's basic build, but the specifications do not provide body dimensions, body depth, weight, or details about internal bracing. Those omissions matter to buyers comparing hollowbody instruments for fit, balance, and acoustic response. No claims about those qualities can be confirmed from the available information.

Neck, scale, and playability details

The wide fat neck profile is a key point to consider before buying. It identifies a relatively substantial neck shape, though the provided data gives no measurements for its depth or width. Players who prefer a fuller grip may want to try the neck in person, while those who favor a slimmer profile should compare it with a familiar instrument before ordering.

The scale length is 635 mm, or 25 inches. The fingerboard has 22 frets and Old School Birds inlays. A bone nut is specified, but its width is not listed. There is also no information about fret size, fingerboard radius, or factory setup. Those details can affect the feel of a guitar, so the listing does not allow a complete assessment of the neck's playing geometry.

Pickups and controls

PRS fits two 58/15 LT "S" humbuckers, arranged in the standard bridge-and-neck configuration indicated by the HH designation. The control layout consists of one volume control, one tone control, and a three-way toggle switch. That is a straightforward setup for selecting either pickup or a combined position while adjusting overall output and tone.

The specifications name the pickup models but do not provide output measurements, magnet type, wiring options, or coil-splitting capability. No coil-split control is listed, so buyers should not assume that the guitar offers a single-coil mode. The "LT" designation is part of the pickup name; the data does not describe its tonal effect. Without verified listening tests or customer reports, any claim about the guitar's sound would go beyond the information provided.

Bridge, hardware, and included accessories

The guitar has a PRS adjustable stoptail bridge and no tremolo. That hardware choice means the listed setup has no vibrato arm or tremolo mechanism. PRS-designed tuning machines and nickel hardware complete the specified hardware package. The listing does not state the bridge's adjustment range or provide details about the tuners' construction.

A PRS SE gig bag is included. A hard case is not. Buyers who need rigid protection for frequent travel should account for that distinction and check whether a compatible case is available separately. The sales unit is one guitar, and the item number is 649104.

Buying considerations

The clearest reasons to shortlist this model are its fully hollow construction, specified tonewood combination, ebony fingerboard, and dedicated humbucker set. Its 25-inch scale and 22-fret layout are also useful comparison points. The wide fat neck, absence of a tremolo, and included gig bag rather than a hard case may influence whether it suits a particular player's preferences and needs.

At the listed price of 1,222, the available data does not establish how the guitar compares in sound, setup quality, or long-term reliability with other instruments in its price range. It also does not specify weight, finish details beyond Charcoal Burst, or adjustment and setup condition. Treat those as unanswered questions rather than shortcomings confirmed by testing. With no customer feedback available, a hands-on trial is the best way to judge the neck shape and overall fit. The specifications support a clear description of the instrument, but not a verdict on its sound or value in use.
